you THINK you know, but you have NO IDEA: College Life... Self Identity

When I was still in high school I had a best friend that was on her way into college. We were like twins. Like inseparable... My biggest fear was that she would go far away, and we would not be able to chill and hang out as much. When she decided to go to a local college we were both souped. all "woo whoo we can be friends forever." I thought the least of my fears was over. Little did I know that after that september things would change forever... it was weird.. we'd hang out and chill but she was a different person. And sooner than later, we drifted apart.

College is hard. It is even more difficult to maintain a good sense of identity while in college. Being in college challenges everything about who you are/claim to be. It's because you're so far from your comfort zone. You're so far from the place that you had identified your self by for so long. The people who surrounded you for four year or all your life were not in arm's reach anymore. Everything is different. No direct discipline. No Parents. No curfew. No one telling you to do this or that. And in place of everything lost, you receive drama and responsibility.

BUT this change does not have to be for the worst... It is true, everyone has their down times. When they no longer feel like themselves. But i feel like that is all in the process of growing and gaining a NEW self-identity. It's impossible to stay the same person you were freshman year of high school. And if you did stay the same, that just means you remained un-flourished... and you didn't grow. I believe that this growth is important for the continuation of life in the real world

I think that it is important to maintain the "good parts" of you and add upon them. Because in college those "good parts" are questioned and put down... And when you submit to the "ways" of college, and you change your self for (i guess) "acceptance" Your stuck lost in you own identity.. trying to figure out who exactly you are and want to be.. You spend everyday pretending to be "Jenn the College Student".. You just have to go through these experiences and learn from them and become the best person that YOU can be... and you do this all for you, don't be the person that you're bestfriend or boyfriend or ANYONE wants you to be.. you have to be content with yourself first and from there i think all else will come naturally

NEWHOOOOOO i really love this song, and when i was writing this song was in my head the whole time... enjoy :-)

you THINK you know, but you have NO IDEA: College Life... Males

waddddap?!?

study break time :-)

BOYS

GUYS

MEN

NIGGAS

whatever it is you chose to call them... is all the same...

SO... what exactly did I learn about these.. specimen... haha

I think that the first and most important thing that I learned.. and am still trying to accept is that they are all different

during this first semester I have come into close encounter/relationship (not nessesarily boyfriends.. friends and acquaintances too) with five guys that I honestly say helped shaped(good/bad) my first semester of college.

They are all different... yea females will say "NO THEY"RE NOT!" and many guys will say "THANK YOU!".... don't speak so quickly..

different is good.. in proportions...

I used to think that every guys had this one thought, and one thought only... SEX

I met these five guys and from my time with them I can conclude that that's not really ALL they want.. i'm not saying that they don't want it... but that's not the only thing they think about..

but i do know that guys are highly influenced by their drive for sex.. it can make them say things and do things that make them out to be jerk, players, assholes, etc... And it's this drive for sex that primarily has females hating males.. actually no i lied... its the males REACTION to this drive for sex that has many females hating males..

their reaction. their response... thats where the difference comes into play...

some.. actually, many guys chose to act primarily on this drive for sex. they want it. they need it. so they're going to do everything in their power to get.. right? and by everything in their "power" i mean, like they're gonna sweet talk, tell you your the shit, and that they ain't never met a girl like you... sound familiar? hahah :-)

other guys are a little different.. they still want sex.. but it's not always on the brain... i guess/think? they still flirt. they wonder how it would be to have sex with you. they still ponder on the fact that could pursue you... but they don't.. they have a little more control.. this kinda guy, he cool to chill with... sometimes... other times, he makes those awkward sexual comments, touches you, and jokes around about sex with you... this is signal that the sex drive is in overload, and it's time for you two to go your separate way... that is unless you want to take it for a test drive hahaha :-)

the last guy comes few and far between. I mean.. like i feel like each and every guy has the potential to be one of these guys, but they chose which one they want to be. And few guys chose to be this guy particular guy.. lol. this guy is the "bestfriend"... he does not technically have to be your bestfriend, but HEY if he wanted to.. he could. Like you get none of those sexual innuendos, and if he ever wanted to have sex with you, he keeps it so under wraps that it's ridiculous. he's just madd chill and madd cool. you guys can talk about anything and everything.. i mean i think ever female should have one these.. stop taking guy advice from ur girls when you can get it from an actually guy.. right? am i wrong? i feel like everything would be less complicated.. you would understand men more and thus he would understand females more..  iono.. i've been told that it's not possible for a girl and a guy to be just friends... i'm thinking that ima prove that "fact" wrong..

they're different... thus they way you approach them must be different. you can't go up to every guy thinking the same thing.. you have to broaden your horizon.. if you expect them to be asshole.. then they might as well be one.. ya kno? no? ya i know they could "try and prove you wrong" but (1) that takes a lot more effort out of their part.. it probably a LOT easier to just be a jerk and (2) really though, i hate to say it, but they don't really owe us anything... i mean it would be nice and wonderful if they could all be gentlemen and sweep us off our feet, but the don't HAVE to.. and then a girl could just be like "well then they ain't gonna have me".. really though, plenty of girls throw themselves at the males when they're asshole(BLAH a blog for another day)... so why straighten up for you? iono.. i'm just trying to see it from a neutral side...

what do you think?

you THINK you know, but you have NO IDEA: College Life... Friends

I came into to college thinking I was going to meet a lot of new people, that I would acquaint some, befriend others, and fall in love with one...

I thought that coming to college would mean that I would have the ginormous groups of friends and we'd be super tight by the time Thanksgiving came around...

Now looking back, I realize that it was silly of me to think that that would happen, when all the times before that I have enjoyed the company of a few close friend...

I came here and I can say that I "acquainted" with everyone. We'd chill, eat together, go to class together, go out together.. It was fun. but it still didn't have that "college bestfriends" feeling to me..
Soon everyone was grouping off into the "friendship-groups" lol. And although I felt as is I could hang out and chill with anyone here at BC, I never felt that genuine click with anyone.. and it bothered me because I didn't understand how everyone had found their bestfriends and I still hadn't...
I didn't comprehend how someone could meet another person and all of a sudden become their bestfriend.. like in just a month... for me tight friendships like that had to be developed over time.. iono...

Soo.. i have had an epiphany...
I'm not like everyone else... So there for I going to go about things differently..
So when people found their "BFFL" in a month.. I found my real friends in three.. and even then, nothing is ever certain..

NEWHO.. i found some people at BC that i truely care for... and ima miss then MUCHO GRANDE come winter breakk :-(
and if you still haven't found those "friends" don't stress it... it will come in time..

end of the Semester..

So here is december... pretty much the end of my first semester of college...
there's a lot that i think i have learned in these past 3 almost 4 months...
at first i was not enjoying my experience here, but i have realized that this is a growing experience and im learning. being here, god-willingly, will make me a better person. not only academically and intellectually but in my time here i think i am maturing.. i am learning about the world that i have always watched under the protection of my parents. yea, BC isn't the world, but it's a portion of it.. and im here.. alone.. and im growing...

so in celebration of this new realization of growth and the end/ survival of my first semester of college EVERRR lol, i am going to do a little mini series about the things i have learned more about here at BC

stay tuned :-)

Let's talk about SEX babyyy: The double standard.

LET'S TALK ABOUT SEX BABYYY!!!
The double standard:

Okay so earlier this week i was talking with a group of girls about... SEX.. yea i said it sex lol. so there was a topic that was reoccurring every time someone spoke. THE DOUBLE STANDARD. okay okay we all know what it is. Girls tend to get a bad reputation for doing the same thing a guy does while he gets a good reputation. what is socially excepted for men is looked down upon and scolded for women. and for the topic of sex in particular; women are sluts, whores, sleazes, smuts, hoes, etc.. (the list can go on and on) for loving and having a lot of sex with multiple partners all the while men are Gs, players, and such for doing the same exact thing....

BANANAS!!!????

yes its bananas..

why has our culture (as a human race) adopted this double standard... i mean its not like its a new philosophy.. the double standard has been around since the olden days nahmean? lol
but really we got to thinking and we realize that we still are consistent with this double standard because we have brought and carried it for those in the past... iight bet. BUT why, ten thousand billion years ago, did the male ameba decided that if he ate the other ameba he was a cool kid while if a female ameba did the same, she was a loser? .. bad example? lol okay. why was this double standard developed in the first place...

i think someone came up with a very good argument.. its not my own thought.. but it made me think... and therefore i will discuss it :-)

okay the idea is... the reason why we have this double standard, why we criticize women more than we do men when it comes to sexual relations is... (okay this might sound weird or get graphic but oh well )... women are being entered rather than doing the entering, as men do.

during sex a woman is allowing (unless its rape) a man to intrude and invade and take something from here. although men may THINK they have the power... they don't. it is the woman who has allow a man to enter her (again that is unless its rape).

its like, when a woman who has multiple partners instead of saying this "i have had sex with 20 men" she says "i have allowed 20 men to intrude and invade my personally space, enter me, and take something from me that he would not have without my approval."

its like the woman suddenly becomes a pushover. allowing an intrusion of her personal. soo... is pushover synonymous with the word hoe?... i don't know.

people see it as a bad thing for a female to have sex with a lot of people because it is therefore saying that this particular female who is having sex with many men is willingly being "intruded upon".. while people don't see it that bad for men because it mean they are simply doing the invading...

Sex for a female is so much more internal than it is for a male, for whom is is primarily external...

i don't know.. i'm horrible at explaining my thoughts... lemme know what you thinkk

btw... this is a random video on youtube kinda about the double standard.. watch. enjoy. and even laugh.. maybe..

who do you LOVE? are you for SURE?

it funny how i found my self looking back at past relationship and reLIKEnship and i realized a lot of the times that i was attracted too these guys and entered into these relationships for all the wrong reasons
I'm realizing now that many people do it tooo... getting into a relationship for convenience and not actual feelings..
And by convenience I mean a lot of people are getting into relationships because its convenient... because they're lonely and need someone to talk to, because they've never been single, because they're trying to fill a void...
for example.. I started to like this one guy for ALL the wrong reasons... it was bored. and everyone around me was in a relationship and i envied their happiness. i wanted it. and i figured, "get into a relationship and everything will be good." So i began to fall for the first guys that i even remotely found semi-attractive and kinda liked, just in a friendship way. I found myself headed into a relationship with someone who i did not really like... i just liked the idea of having someone... in the end the relationship did not work... i put myself through a lot of emotional turmoil for a man, that i knew from the very beginning, was not the man for me...
don't get me wrong.. not all relationship that begin for the wrong reasons end horribly. i've know of relationships that have lasted and the two people found a way to love and like each other.

but really though... why are we putting ourselves through all of this... i understad man and woman are to be together.. God made Adam and saw that he needed Eve.. God instructed Noah to put two of every kind of animal on his boat... Its understandable that humans are meant to be in pairs... man and woman... yes that's comprehendible, but what i do not understand is why is it that we as humans NEED to be in relationships. and i'm just as guilty as any other. I begin to fall for people just for convenience...

So its getting cold outside... and you know what that means... CUDDLE BUDDIES!! everyone is linking up and one by one your friends start to disappear... they never come out, why? because they're tooo busy cuddling. So here i am cuddle-buddy-less and crushing on and liking guys just because i want one... So how do i know my reasons for liking a guy? I don't know... help me out? I feel that I would just have to let my feelings play out, but thats all at the cost of my emotions.... what do I do? What would you do?

I don't know... im just saying.. we "fall in love" a lot... but are we sure? and is it really love?

food for thoughtttt

Back AGAIN!

woot. woot.
ive been gone for a minute now im back with some new ish :-)

my new crack = Ill-Literacy and Invisible Ink
don't know who they are?
well find out!!

Ill-literacy is on tour right now so find their lastest show in a town near you!
Invisible Ink is based in boston but they too travel around so find them.
both of these groups are great. both a combination of poetic, musical and theatrical performance.
so you should go out and see.. BOTH
i mean i would sit here a talk about everything that happened and how i felt and post vids and stuff... but iono i feel like experiencing their show is a journey you have to have on your own (or with the person your sitting with ... woot woot Jaz! <-- peep el blog)
haha but really though, check them out. they're worth it and have A LOT to say.
ps. if your like a function coordinator or sumthin.... book them... then invite me to your event :-)

NEWHOOO i was reading some information about George Watsky from the group Invisible Ink and he is a pretty accomplished guy.
one thing that i was particularly amazed/jealous of is the fact the he was on Russel Simmons' Def Poetry Jam
okay ever since i knew this def poetry jam exisited (pretty long time ago) i wanted to be in it. I wanted to go on stage and make people laugh, make people cry, and make people think...
yea yea i know.. "you can do that anywhere"
"true lie" <-- invisible ink put me onnn! haha
why is it a true lie?
Because its the truth that i can go on stage and perform anywhere... but i don't think it will ever feel like it would on the def poetry jam stage..
see for me, def poetry jam is a very big milestone. i feel that being on there would make me an accomplished writer.
As many people who write, i'm really hard on myself. I've been published and stuff but to me that still doesn't mean my stuff is good... if and when im on Def Poetry Jam... i'll know that my stuff is good..
so how do i get there... and do i really want to get there?

welll i guesss i gotta get off my shy tip and perform... i mean there are plenty of spoken word shows, open mics, poetry slams and such around that i have no excuse...
even if i never get to be on Def poetry jam... i miss the stage... i miss the feeling i get when i perform. the high i receive from the attentiveness, applause, and the words that flow out from my heart. I miss it...

SO! ima step my game up.. and do what i gotta do...

bumpin and grinding and loud pointless degrading music gets old...
i'm ready to go to jazz clubs, and smooth talk the man sitting next to me with his acoustic type soul... im ready for a change.. And maybe along the way i can conjure up the courage to perform... and do what makes me happy.
wanna join?

Got PE?

lol "Got PE?"... i sure do!! i walked .8miles to go vote today!!
im sooo darn proud of myself yessirey!
I walked with a friend. Walk wasn't too bad considering we were about to make history(vote in a very historic presidential race, and it was our first times voting ever)
So we walk to this building.. Ward School. Ward 7 Precinct 3
Walk down a flight of steps and turn into the place we would be voting...
It looked like it was straight out of a movie.. really though... like old school OLD SCHOOL gymatorium. like it was as big as two BC quad-dorms. wood and painted red. floors with numbers around it. ropes on the ceiling looking like they were ready for ppl to climb them... honestly i never had to climb a single rope in my Phys-Ed career, i thought it was only in movies... but apparently ppl do this in real life..
newhooo i walk in tell them my address and get my ballot...
did my thing (which took awhile bcuz i was still unsure... but i made a decision none the less) and passed in my ballot to this electric-ballot-eater thing.
then i just stood there and took it all in
this was my first time voting EVER... this only happens once in a life time (it being the first time). it was a feeling that i can't really explain... i was proud, overwhelmed, happy, sad, just everything...
i mean even if the popular vote doesn't end up getting counted and it's only the electoral college and/or congress... it still felt good to vote... it was like i had a say in the way my life was being handled...

newhoo i voted :-)

Facebook voter count now: 2899528 + 1(ME!)

MY dayyy : November 4th, 2008
A day when history shall be made...

Sooo today is looking on the bright side. I woke up early and just laid in bed, prayed and relaxed. Got up did the morning routine. On my way to class saw that guy who makes me smile. I decided to take beacon street to my class in Merkert instead of going through the dustbowl So I had my quite time... no one around to talk to... just time to reflect and think. newhoooo so im walking.. and its a good time. some runners rudely pass and bump into me.. but it doesn't bother me.. all of a sudden I hear background music in my head... weird right? WRONG lol it was serene and calming... but wait the music wasn't it my head at all... birds? nope, they're all gone cuz of the coldness right.. or at least not happy enough to sing... soo I turned to my right and saw this guy dressed for work in a suit and all playing the flute in his yard!!! okay, I don't know about you, but i have never in my life seen or even heard of something like that.. he was like playing the soundtrack to my life hahaha. it was really pretty too. Newhoo i thought it was great. Got to class on time.. actually i was early. 2nd one there. :-) Chem lab went surprisingly fast. its supposed to be 9am to 12pm and i got out at 1030am :-) yayyyyyyy lol and while im leaving my TA tells me my lab performance grade is a 4 out of 4 yippeeeey! things r going good. Then i got some free ben&jerrys ice cream yummmy... go vote!!! and so i go to eat lunch and my food is nasttyyy but, hey!, doesn't bother me none. alsooo i find out that this girl that i thought didn't like me as a person actually does... or maybe she's a really good actor. lol oh well.. Then i got a text messege from my best-guy-friend whom i haven't spoken to in FOREVER telling me that everything was okay and that he missed me...
today seems like its going to be a good day
:-)

btw... facebook's voter counter is at 1,653,273.... i loveeee it!!! go votee!!!

Home

Sometimes i give an intro before a poem sometimes i dont, but i just wanted to say that this poem was inspired at the thought of that place, that ONE place for everyone where they are entirely in the comfort zone. the place where they are the most happy and where they feel most them-self... newhooo leave comments lemme kno what you think

Home

In the beginning
God created the Heavens,
The Earth,
And Here
Here is where the soul got rest,
And the body, a vacation.
It's where every breath was a, breath
And there was an everlasting patience.
It's where soft sudden winds blow
Sweet melodies in my ear
And lullaby me into perfection
It was perfect.
As I lay on the ground and warmth met my skin
I looked into the never-ending sky and smiled,
Because Here,
Here is where I want to be.
Here is where the scent of apple pie tickled my nose
Flew down and made me hungry,
But not hungry enough to want it
Hungry enough to remember,
To remember all the memories kept Here.
You see Here,
Here I remember grandma smiling
As she handed me a gift.
I remember kickball, red rover and freeze tag.
And Here, I can see my mother
Crying happy tears as I opened my first acceptance letter
I can see it now "It is my pleasure to inform you of your acceptance into the class of 2012"
Here was home
But home is not a house tou see,
It can be,
But home,
Home is where you take it
It can be the waterfalls of Niagara,
The beaches of Miami
Or even here.
See?
Home is where you make it
Home is a place just for you.
In the beginning
God created the Heavens,
The Earth,
And Home.

I'm back, I'm back, I'm cool..

KK so i've been type MIA but i'm back now. I had a crazy week aka "hell week". My first FISTS performance on saturday was supper dupper awesome. I loved it lots and lots. I was maddd nervous and messed up a lil but hey thats life and it was funn.. yea.. like this past week.. probably one of the most tiring week of my life.. Soo much homework, two midterms, late practices every night, six hours practices... but in then end im guesssing it was all worth it even if we didn't win.
boy oh boy... but i guess my first competition is one that i'm going to remember for very long time...
NEWHOOO
i have a new babyy Godson!!
Kendrick Jayce Crichlow was born on October 22, 2008

Jessica's stomach was gettin sooooo huge!
newhoo he's out and he's precious and he's my Itty Bitty
Its soo crazy to see him like out here and alive when he was in the stomach for so long
I don't know about you but the whole pregnancy thing amazes me...
like.. theyre sooo small like centimeters... and they're just tissue...
then they get a heart beat but theyre still like an inch long... like iono
then the come out the womb and they smile, the look around, the cough, the recognize voices... theyre like little ppl.. itsss greaatt :-)
If you didnt know, i want to be and OB/GYN later in life...
and i was seriously considering changing that the past couple of weeks because the school is soo hard and discouraging...
but then i see lil Kendrick and my niece Jordyn and im reminded why i feel in love with the profession in the first place...
I want to be apart of one the the most important, if not THEE most important, instance of life.
i wanna help bring babies into the world..
i love to see them develop.. in the womb.. and out..

booohisss.. the week has the upmost potential to SUCK! :-)
but... ima do my very best to make it a suppper duppper week cuz i had an awesomeeee weekend
parties
BC over VT (yaaaaaa... so coldest night EVER!)
chill time
and empty room (dnt get me wrong theres nothing wrong with el roomie... its just that theres barley any down/silent time here... so its just nice to have that ya kno?)
yup yup goood times
but Red Sox lost which is NAHT so great but oh well it was good while it lasted. ill still love big papi :-)

newhoooo
soo theres sumthin that has been heavy on my mind... and i never had to deal with it in such proportions until i came here to BC...
ive never been one for drama.. in fact i dont think ive ever even had any serious drama... but i feel that its going to be inevitable here in college.
granted most of us freshman have only known each other for only like a month or so, i tihnk that people has show there "true colors"
i don't know if im explaining my self correctly but... when i first met these people every1 was cool and wanted to be each others friends.. after that, people fell off and made there owe tight circle of friend, be it exclusive and clickish or not, everyone had that group of ppl they always chilled with... BUT its these same ppl in the same groups that talk the most shit about each other... like constantly .. its something ridiculous.. or its these same girls that are scheming on each other.. i mean i think its kinda funny, its my entertainment, but... see ive never once thought of myself as fake but seeing these ppl act like that, chillin with them, and talkin to them (them= both sides) makes me feel as if im fake... its like im guilty by association...
what do you think?
cuz it buggin me... cuz if i do drop the "fake ppl" id b stuck all by my lonesome. :-( NAHT good
whateverr
so am i guilty by association? are u?

the POOPIE list :-) hahaha

so! im currently in chemistry class (yep this is why im failing i know) and it supppperrr duppper boring so i go to this cool website funnyjunk and im just cruising around and i find this list... see i read this list like a few years ago but i never remember it being soo darn funnnyy! hahahaha really though... if you havent read it, read it now and prepare to laugh... if you have read it, read it AGAIN lol
***disclaimer: i did not write this list AND you may be type disgusted after reading this... enjoy :-) ***

 *The Poopie List*

ghost poopie: the kind where your feel the poopie come out, but there is no poopie in the toilet
clean poopie: the kind where you poopie it out, see it in the toilet, but when you wipe... there is nothing on the toilet paper
wet poopie: the kind where you wipe your butt 50 times and it still feels unwiped, so you have to put some toilet paper between your butt and your underwear so you won't ruin them with stains
second wave poopie: this happens when you're done poopie-ing and you've pulled your pants up to your knees, and... OH! you realize you have to poopie some more
pop-a-vein-in-your-forehead poopie: the kind where you strain so much to get the poopie out, you practically have a stroke
lincoln log poopie: the kind of poopie that is so huge you're afraid to flush without first breaking it into little pieces with the toilet brush
gassy poopie: it's so noisy, that everyone within earshot is giggling... including you... and your poopie.
drinker's poopie: the kind of poopie you have the morning after a long night of drinking. it's most noticeable trait is the skid marks on the bottom of the toilet
corn poopie: self explanatory
gee-i-wish-i-could poopie: the kind where you want to poopie but all you do it sit on the toilet and fart a few times
wet cheeks poopie aka the power dump: the kind that come out so fast and so heavy that your butt cheeks get splashed with water
the dangling poopie: this poopie refuses to drop in the toilet even though you are done poopie-ing it, you just hope that a shake or two will cut it loose.
the surprise poopie: you're not even at the toilet because you sure that you are about to fart, but OPPS! it a poopie!!

brokeBACK mountain

sooooooo! i had to watch a movie for my FYW class that MOST of u probably know... Brokeback Mountain.
okieeee dokieeee i have NO idea where to start about this movie...
sooo we all know that its about two homosexuals and there relationship, mountains, cowboys, sheeps, etc...
regardless of ur outtake on homosexuality i think you'd like the movie.
i mean although homosexuality play a gianormous roll in the movie there are still other lessons to be learned from it.
like Ennis(heath leadger plays his role and it was really suppper duppper cool/weird seeing him NAHT be the Joker from batman) is this guys who never really like to talk or express himself. and its all due to the fact that he is gay but he can't fully be himself in the surroundings that he's in because homosexuality was not accepted.
SO im not going to get all movie analytical on you i just wanted to tell you my thoughts about the movie because it made me think of myself.
im like Ennis in a way because there are times when i just suddenly become reserved or quite. and iono i think its because im out of my element. i don't really feel like myself when i'm here. and by here.. im mean school aka boston college. Dont get me wrong. i love the college life, the freedom i have and so on and so forth... i just have yet to figure out who am i.... is that bad? i suppose it is... and i guess in a way i trying to find myself but i dont think itll work if im looking... i just have to let the experience of life run its course and during it i guess all will be revealed.. until then.. pardon me if i stop talking, look upset, not chill, etc... i don't really notice until after.. its just my way of coping with the uncomfortableness of not being myself or not knowin exactly who i am...
newhooooo.... watch brokeback mountain you might learn a little about yourself
ANDDD its.... different lmaoo :-)

"Tati. Ya pone its broke-ing"

"tati ya pone is broke-ing" --> nicely translated into "Tati, your phone is broken"
the incredibly intelligent words of my (almost) 21month old niece after she dropped my phone on the floor the other day at her daycare.
the funny thing is, when she dropped my phone I wasn't even mad.. I was just amazed that she said that sentence. I don't know about you but its not to often that I see little kids here age talking like that and actually knowing what they're saying. It ridiculous how much how much see knows and how quickly she learns. So I tell my sister(her mom) and my mom, and they're like "yea..awww..nicee" pretty much like telling me that its old news to them. And it sucks because I'm used to having her around everyday. morning. afternoon. night. she was my boo. my little shadow following me to my room, messing up and breaking my stuff, climbing my bed. I'm used to seeing every single stage of her life, and all the new things she learns. And now since i've been at school I feel like I'm missing a lot. Like when i saw her the other day she looked like such a big kid. walking around her daycare saying intelligible words and sentences and what not. I don't know maybe I'm over reacting... but all I know is that I miss her soo much. As much as a pest that she can be, she's the only person in the whole world that can make me smile anytime, any day, anywhere. The other day I was asked the question "who's your biggest inspiration right now" and I answered my niece.. the guy looked at me funny and told me that I was weird but in a way she is. Like when I'm upset, or doing bad in school or something.. I want to do and be better for her. She stays copying the things I do. So i want to be the best person that I can be so then see can be the best she can be. I want her to grow up to be greattt and I know that if I'm not doing my best she just might think that its okay not to be good because Tati isn't... iono.. do I sounds silly?... I'm just being honest.. I don't know. I love that girl like crazy and she amazes me. just the little things she does...
newhooooo christmass is comin ya I know its supppper duppper early but I want to get her a supper supper awesome present because this year she can actually understand it a lot more that last year.. AND her birthday is like a month later.... so what should I get her? I was thinking a tricycle or something?

PS: I am NAHT happy... why? because I came home for the weekend and guess what... my sister her husband AND my niece (Jordyn.. i forgot to say her name earlier) decided to go to D.C. ... greattt just greatt! :-(

my last doctors visit tells me that im 5'4.9" haha
and ive been writing since i could hold a writing utensil.
poetry, short stories, songs, thoughts, anything,
ive pretty much kept a diary/journal since the 4th grade.
i walk around with composition notebooks (my journals) because, what if i have a realllly good thought and i want to remember it... i just write it :-)
somewhere in the middle of high school i just stopped writing for various stupid reasons. i threw out my journals and poems and everything i had written up to that point cause i was madd and having a temper tantrum, yea i know... not a good look. whatever.
then i started keeping a journal again and slowly but surely fell back in love..
i mostly write/try to write poetry.

i am deathly afraid and nervous when it comes to performing but when i do it, i love it. i know its what im supposed to do.
back to my journal. i started to keep one this year at school but it just wasn't working out. so this blog is now going to be my journal. :-) so we'll see how it works out

A Product of Silence...

I don't really know what this is supposed to be about... this blogging business.
so I'm just going to write.
newhoo heres a poem. I wrote one line and couldn't go to sleep until I had a finished product. ya so I'm going to post that finished product that is my poem.. enjoy. and lemme know what you think
P.S. - I recored myself speaking it.... lol yes I'm whispering.. it's 333am and my roomie is ASLEEP, as should I, but whatever.

Product of SILENCE

I am a product of silence,
but now I choose to speak.
To express my words in a compilation of similes, metaphors, and verbs
To release my fears, inhibitions, and reasons for tears
To specifically articulate my thought of love, lust, and hate
To speak my heart
To tell my story
I am a product of silence
So I stand here now ready to speak,
but will you listen?
